Composite materials are lighter than equivalent profiles in aluminium, steel and other metal alloys. They suffer less dimensional variations due to the influence of temperature, and are thermal and electrical insulators. They have specific mechanical strength superior to any other metallic material. Their long service life in corrosive environments and ensure lower maintenance costs.
